About About

Get To Know Me.

I have been in the tennis industry for close to 30 years, both as a player and as a certified instructor. I have developed players of various ages across the skill spectrum, from recreational play to serious tournament play. I also work with students to avoid and rectify any pain in arm joints, the scapula, the lower back, and any hip and knee issues stemming from inefficient movement.

Years of close study of tennis movement have allowed me to help students fix the root causes of such problems. I work with my students to find and develop the missing component that will allow them to play naturally and pain free. My students trust me to guide them on the journey toward sound, athletic movement and playing.

Afterall, isn’t that the point of playing a sport: to have fun, to move, and to be athletic? And it will be all the more fun when you start winning!

I encourage you to explore my students section to see progression of juniors’ and adults’ game development for yourself. I also encourage you to explore the educational articles I have written, and which provide students with a basic foundation in strategy, tactics, energy sources available to a player, and easy power on the forehand. These articles are not a deep dive into the subject, they are simply to give you a basic understanding of the type of work that will be incorporated into your learning.

How I learned what I teach.

A tennis-related shoulder injury during my Division 1 college playing days forced me to give up competitive play. Against medical advice, I opted not to have surgery on my shoulder and instead sought out answers to what was causing the problem, and how I could fix my shoulder. It took me quite a while to figure out what turned out to be the many problems that were causing constant injury to the shoulder. However, in the end I succeeded in re-establishing a full range of motion. In the process, I also learned how to help other tennis players and students to play at their highest level while also avoiding painful and costly injuries.

During this period of discovery, I started my tennis certification process. I found that path to be heavily laced with theory and having little to no emphasis on practical application. Instead, I teamed up with other like-minded, high-performance tennis professionals, movement coaches, and two physical therapists, who are now part of my independent professional team.
